It makes me emotional every time i see this movie.Forrest's being son,lover,friend,husband and father,it summarizes the whole essence of life.The movie is narrated like poem with touch of philosophy.Probably the challenging part(for non Americans atleast) of movie is the reference of American history during Forrest's life.This format is like Garbriel Marquez's novel,one hundred years of solitude.(magical realism). Is Mr. Tom Hanks born to live this role,i wonder nobody might have done this role and its narration better than him.The most interesting and unique part of the movie is Forrest's innocence,which is the backbone and admiral part of this story.Well,you want feel relaxed sharing about yourself to someone watch Forrest Gump.It touches you deep. This movie is inspired from Italian movie Desica's Girasoli, I (1970),neverthless no complaints because i don't believe in originality.The movie is worth watching because of good story and flow of the story.A.R.Rehmans score and Santhosh Siva's(artistic lineage person with solid confident work) camera is beautiful.The movie has romance and patriotism.Good natural performance by the acting team also. Maniratnam was in great form during this period,he gave continuous hits of Mouna Ragam,Nayagan,Agni Natchathiram,Geethanjali,Anjali,Thalapathi. There were many cute scenes in the movie.It is also visually stunning. This movie is one of the costliest one made in India,but we cannot expect jurrasic park,titanic or terminator because tamil film industry is more into business pressure rather then creativity.That too superstar Rajini,director Shankar both this celebrities want to safeguard their position rather then trying something new. I swear that this movie is not bad.The story is about the man Sivaji who wants to invest his money into social service,but politicians,rival enterpreneurs doesn't let him to do good(as per the rule of screenplay),he overcomes the troubles by making black money into white money in robinhood action style.The story is told reaaonably in good pace with good treat for eyes.Especially 5 songs were great,visually stunning.Next thing comes to our mind after songs in sivaji is Comedian vivek.He does good job.After this obviously some glimpses of rajini's style in the movie is also good.Action,romance scenes were average since it is not story oriented,its not grippi

This movie was adapted from the play,an orthodox brahmin Sundaram retires from his profession,and his emotional reactions,mind set were accurately captured.He faces difficulty in adapting with his sons,daughter dishonesty,indiscipline,besides he is an very honest and strict man. Sivaji Ganesan one of the best actor in history of cinema gives his best performance,accurately enacting brahmin slang,body language,expression.Nobody can act like him ,besides his setback of overacting,which he claims to be very nature of acting. Nagesh,Padmini,Srikanth gives good supporting role performance.Special kudos to writer Sundaram,for his awesome lines.This movie breaks monotonous style of movie making and gives a neat drama due to its plot and characters from real life.A little bit of overdose when it comes to melodrama in this movie,still the movie touches deep. Intellectual can be defined as a person who only speaks truth always 100%. There are various views on the meaning of intellectual and its worth.To me Intellectual means "A person whose education(learning)surpasses their intelligence." But i was really concerned about pseudo intellectual.As nowadays we see genius,legend these words very common in media being used,when they are sentimentally inclined,prejudiced and gives a common man wrong idea or projection.Some might say intellectuality is a fence to protect our ego.Sort of self defense.It doesnt mean that you are great if you have so much knowledge.Knowledge is only information.Intellectuality is a tool which people use in order to obtain what they want by devise a method or form an understanding/opinion of something based on the knowledge they have.An intellectual is a person who is intelligent as I understand it.To be intelligent matters.Intelligent means to use information in right place and communicate in a presentab

I have observed all talented actors are terribly empty and alone,restless psychologically,craving for attention and very sentimental.Only these psychological setbacks become positive in giving acting performance because they feel themself only when they act like somebody else or exaggegarate themself.The more complex you are,the more great you are in acting.Is acting really a talent or craft? actors must have some sort of mental deficiency which creates an extreme need for the approval and admiration of others. What else could propel someone to be a great actor if not the deep-seated need from within to portray someone other than themselves? But, not all great actors have dramatic "psychological setbacks" - or at least not so prevalent. To make such a generalization is quite damaging as there are many wonderful actors who don't seem to have any of these issues, at least not that we can observe!
