Intellectual can be defined as a person who only speaks truth always 100%. There are various views on the meaning of intellectual and its worth.To me Intellectual means "A person whose education(learning)surpasses their intelligence." But i was really concerned about pseudo intellectual.As nowadays we see genius,legend these words very common in media being used,when they are sentimentally inclined,prejudiced and gives a common man wrong idea or projection.Some might say intellectuality is a fence to protect our ego.Sort of self defense.It doesnt mean that you are great if you have so much knowledge.Knowledge is only information.Intellectuality is a tool which people use in order to obtain what they want by devise a method or form an understanding/opinion of something based on the knowledge they have.An intellectual is a person who is intelligent as I understand it.To be intelligent matters.Intelligent means to use information in right place and communicate in a presentable way.And intellectuality isn't a bad thing. Most intellectuals are absurdists and have a whacky sense of humour anyway. If Einstein weren't a scientist, he'd be a stand up comedian (have you seen his clown hair?), and if George Carlin wasn't a comedian, he'd probably be a philosopher.My view is that ignorance is bliss and intellectuals need all the defense they can get. Otherwise they'd jump off cliffs like lemmings. Being intellectual means constantly asking and searching for the truth. The truth is a depressing thing. Which is why guys like Woody Allen, Einstein or Camus are constantly trying to intellectualise life. They're searching for meaning and a reason to carry on. They're searching to educate and better mankind so that maybe, one day, carrying on ceases to become so tough. I am not anti intellectual,i appreciate genuine intellectuality. But it must be progressive in finding fact and solution,but not prejudiced due to our sentiment,and not approach end in such a way that it leads to the end we desire. Intellectuality also deals with reasoning of the abstract where, by definition, facts don't exist.Media over hypes and glorifies celebrities achievements.People achieve great things,just because they feel like doing with heart,soul and brain.Thats the secret.end of story and stop glorifieng.I am not against any celebrity and their brand image of genius or intellectual.To me all celebrity and their life stories are just travelling experience which we should enjoy,i dont carry it further and make my ego heavy and include in my favourite list.Just travel ,thats the way i see life.So that we dont get stuck.It will never let me progress,it shrinks my learning and progression due to my sentimental(likes and dislikes) prejudism.If thats the case,media wont hype on genius and their intellectuality.Anyhow this discussion is not meant for victory.Truth and progress is important provided we have the humility.Evidently,there is difference between knowing the name of thing and the actual thing.
