On Why Indian Science fiction has little reception?

Sci-fi genre has not much of takings in people as per our film professionals assumption i guess, that's why very less no of movies had come out on it. Yet, there are lot of fantasy movies and mythology movies (earlier days people used to call this camera trick, pre graphics came into picture) which can be called as some what a sci-fi movies only, infact many of Hollywood movies are inspired from Indian mythology and philosophy(say for example Avatar and The Matrix).  The only director of India who handled this genre the most is Singeetham Srinivasa Rao. Communist propagandist director Velu Prabhakaran's Nalaya Manithan(1989) and Athisaya Manidhan(1990) is sort of sci-fi only with horror mixture i guess.
There are movies iconic like international film director Shekar Kapur's Mr.India(Hindi film). Some of the important films below:
1. Endhiran(In hindi it's Robot-film released on 2010, 289 crore earnings with budget of 132 crores)
2. PK(not pure yet joins the league highest grossing film in India All Time as of now)
3. Krish (Hrithik Roshan Starrer sequels).
4. Ra-One(SRK movie)
7.  Aditya 369 (1991-this inspired 2008 Hindi film Love Story 2050)
8. Vikram (1986) - actor kamal and Tamil writer Sujatha scripted Tamil film inspired from Thomas Pynchon's Gravity's rainbow. A film on rocket hijack.
9. E ( 2006 Tamil actor Jeeva's film. communist propagandist director S.P.Jananathan)
10. Tamil films - Suryas 7am Arivu and dasavatharam not pure sci fi ,still joins the league few components like Virus.
