ON India English Writing and Chetan Bhagat

I first got introducted to him when my aunt gave me this book seeing as an compassionate response to my wannabe out of box thinking-Five Point Someone(she herself borowed and i never returned her :))-i lost and found after she gave it to me. Infact i see this authors book in the hands of young generation people around during my travel to office in bus-who are fed up with the usual routines that offer and thirsty enough to search from what is usual. But i indeed understood that this man is the giving thoughts to the young India which they reflect well-atleast elite audience(sorry about this). Eventhough initially i was resisting to read due to the fact that cover photo wasnt catchy enough
atleast for me, then i went on trying simply because the author himself an pass out of IIT and this story takes place there as well which interested me. Am not a big fan of this IIT,IIM nor any top branded institutions across world as am firm believer of what is done in action that which reflects the quality and intellectual depth ,not the education which is a mere store-house and institutionalized. Also i never like to dwell on the past glory the achievements should speak for themselves not anybodys past glory.

Coming back to our story, the Indian English writing does not comprehend to perfection on what Indian life is because the Indian things and thoughts when told in English somewhat looks artificial. Neverthless English is inevitable in India and its the only alternate from our
mother tongue-this indeed is a good break from the routines. Writing is not mere intelluctualising, complicating and hiding, its just truth
that refreshes and inspires us which we equate. His unique feeling of that remains all through his works and his books is the Bourgeoisie(A
middle class thing-is this a suitable word to convey this?!). This to me is an another eternal theme in the art as the whole of life is swallowed well when not rich nor poor its only Bourgeoisie who enjoy the world as a whole. The light humour which also captivates us. Usually writers are educated in History or Literature or journalism or Philosophy but he with Engineering does well in writing may be a fulfilled and thorough enjoyment of life is what any writers pre-requuiste. And suprised to know that this man has carried his heart or retain his heart despite been going through competitive technical education. A story does not says it all but its a healthy break and he offers that. Not to
end here because his works will continue and so do i. In simple- Chetan Bhagat truly captures the essence of India.
